Before you sell: Prep your phone
Before you bring your phone in or ship it to us, there are a few things you need to do first. This protects your personal data and makes the process faster for both of us.
- Sign out of your Apple ID (iPhone) or Google account (Android) — this is the most important step. If you don't sign out, the phone will be locked to your account and we can't resell it. On iPhone, go to Settings > Your Name > Sign Out. On Android, go to Settings > Accounts and remove your Google account.
- Turn off Find My iPhone / Find My Device — this has to be disabled before we can accept the phone.
- Erase all content and settings — do a full factory reset. On iPhone: Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Erase All Content. On Android: Settings > System > Reset > Factory data reset.
- Remove your SIM card and any memory cards — we don't need those and you don't want to leave them behind.
Option 1: Walk in to our store
The easiest way to sell your phone is to just come in. Here's what to bring:
- Your phone — make sure it's been factory reset and signed out of all accounts.
- A charger — not required, but it helps if we need to test the phone and the battery is low.
- A valid ID — driver's license, state ID, or passport. We need this for our records.
When you walk in, we'll inspect the phone right in front of you. We check the screen, the body for cracks or damage, the battery health, and whether the IMEI is clean (not reported lost or stolen). The whole inspection takes about 5 minutes.
