We get asked this a lot — especially from parents looking for a tablet for their kids or people who need a device for work. Yes, BuyCell Cleveland does lease tablets, and here's the full rundown on what we carry and what we don't.
iPads — yes, we have them
iPads are one of our most popular non-phone items. We typically have several models in stock:
- iPad (standard model) — 9th and 10th generation, great for everyday use, streaming, and kids
- iPad Air — lighter and faster, good for creative work and multitasking
- iPad Pro — the powerhouse, available when we can source them
- iPad Mini — compact size, perfect for reading and travel
Same deal as our phones — $50 down, weekly payments, no credit check. iPad payments typically run $25-$45 per week depending on the model and storage size. Lease it, pay it off, and it's yours.
Samsung tablets — also available
If you prefer Android, we carry Samsung Galaxy tablets too. The Galaxy Tab A series is a great budget-friendly option, and we sometimes have the Galaxy Tab S series for people who want a premium Android tablet.
Samsung tablets are often a bit more affordable than iPads, so if you're watching your budget, they're worth considering. Same lease terms apply — $50 down, weekly payments, no credit check.
Apple Watch — limited availability
We'll be honest here. We do get Apple Watches in from time to time, but we don't always have them in stock. They're a smaller, lower-demand item for us compared to phones and tablets, so our inventory varies.
If you're looking for an Apple Watch, the best thing to do is call us at (440) 306-3486 and ask what we currently have. If we don't have one in stock, we can often source one within a few days. We carry Series 7, 8, 9, and SE models when available.
Laptops — not our main thing (yet)
We get asked about laptops — MacBooks especially — pretty often. Right now, laptops aren't a regular part of our lease program. The pricing and risk profile is different from phones and tablets, so it's not something we've rolled out on a large scale.
That said, we do occasionally have MacBooks and Chromebooks available for outright purchase. If you need a laptop, it's worth reaching out to see what we have. We're always evaluating whether to add laptops to the lease program, so this could change down the road.
What about AirPods or accessories?
We sell AirPods, cases, chargers, and other accessories in-store. These are typically sold outright rather than leased since they're lower-cost items. If you're getting a phone or tablet from us, we can bundle accessories in and keep everything simple.
How tablet leasing works
The process is exactly the same as leasing a phone:
- Apply — online or in-store, takes about 5 minutes
- Get approved — no credit check, just a valid ID and proof of income
- Put $50 down — pick your device and take it home
- Make weekly payments — $25-$45/week depending on the device
- Own it — once it's paid off, the device is yours
WiFi-only tablets don't need a carrier plan. If you get a cellular iPad or tablet, you'll need a data plan from a carrier — but most people go with WiFi-only and save the extra cost.
